Mission Statement
"To empower parents of children prenatal through five years of age in the Chino Valley area through a shared network of resources that will subsequently improve the quality of life for children."

The TYKES Family Resource Center serves families with young children who live in Chino, Chino Hills, and South Ontario. The program is a collaborative among the Chino Valley Unified School District; the City of Chino; the Chino Valley Y; the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools; and First 5 San Bernardino.
Services include:
- a lending library with books and educational games for parents and young children;
- computers with internet access;
- a child friendly play area;
- a family literacy program;
- early childhood education;
- confidential information about resources and referrals to community-based social services;
- application assistance for healthcare insurance such as Medi-Cal and Healthy Families;
- preschool and daycare enrollment information
