T.Y.K.E.S. Learning Center...
T.Y.K.E.S. Learning Center is located at 5389 Riverside Dr. (east of Central Ave.) in Chino, between 9th and 10th Street. The Center is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Center offers walk-in services, such as a parent and child library that includes books, videos, tapes, CDs, and computer software. Also available, two public computers with internet connection and easy access to fun websites for kids and informative child development sites for parents.
Services Description
CASE MANAGERS
Helping families with parenting needs including social services, counseling referrals, Healthy Families/Medi-cal applications, home visits, and more.

BEHAVIORAL SPECIALIST
Assists families with behavioral issues that can occur during early childhood development, promoting positive social and emotional health.

PEDIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER
Conducts health related workshops throughout the year, connects children and pregnant mothers with a primary health care provider, provides screenings and physical examinations upon referral.

STATE PRESCHOOLS
Eight different state preschool locations within Chino Valley Unified boundaries including: Gird, Dickson, Levi Dickey, Newman, E.J. Marshall, El Rancho, Anna Borba, and Walnut. Free to families who qualify based on income guidelines.

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
Various topics throughout the year to include: dental hygiene, fire safety, potty training, nutrition, car seat safety, and parenting techniques. Please call for dates and times.

ON THE ROAD TO LEARNING
A series of workshops for parents of children 3-5 years of age. These workshops provide ideas and activities for school readiness and take place at 7 different school sites.
